Evaluasi Usability Desain Website Perpustakaan Menggunakan Kuesioner Nielsen Attributtes Of Usability Di Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Perpustakaan Universitas Medan Area adalah suatu wadah yang menyediakan jenis sumber belajar baik dalam bentuk cetak maupun elektronik, perpustakaan UMA merupakan salah satu perpustakaan yang mempunyai aktivitas penuh dan padat berinteraksi dengan user perpustakaan tersebut yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu website yang diperlukan perpustakaan ini adalah website akademik yang memudahkan semua pihak baik mahasiswa maupun dosen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat hubungan antara learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, satisfaction dengan usability pada penggunaan website perpustakaan di Universitas Medan Area. Metode Nielsen’s Attributtes of Usability (NAU) merupakan salah satu metode untuk melakukan pengujian terkait usability suatu website dengan menggunakan media kuesioner. Data responden yang tidak pernah mengakses website sebesar 23,4% dengan 189 responden, sedangkan responden yang pernah mengakses website sebesar 76,6% dengan 618 responden yang pernah mengakses. maka data yang akan diteiliti selanjutnya data responden yang pernah mengakses website perpustakaan UMA. Dan untuk kriteria arah hubungan kategori learnability memorability efficiency Errors dan satisfaction terhadap usability bernilai positif sehingga dapat diartikan sebagai jenis hubungan searah. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa learnability memorability effciency Errors dan satisfaction bila semakin ditingkatkan maka usability juga akan meningkat. Hasil uji korelasi untuk kategori learnability memorability effciency Errors dan satisfaction terhadap usability 0,000 < 0,05 maka berkorelasi.The Library of Universitas Medan Area is a place that provides various types of learning resources both in print and electronic form. The UMA library is one of the libraries that has full and congested activities in interacting with the library's users, namely lecturers and students. Therefore, the website needed by the library is an academic website that facilitates for all parties, both students and lecturers. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship level among learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, satisfaction with usability on the library website use at Universitas Medan Area. Nielsen's Attributes of Usability (NAU) method is one of the methods for testing the usability of a website by using a media questionnaire. Furthermore, data on respondents who had never accessed the website were 23.4% with 189 respondents, while the respondents who had accessed the website were 76.6% with 618 respondents. Then the data that would be examined was the data of respondents who had accessed the UMA library website. And for the direction criteria, the relationship among the categories of learnability, memorability, efficiency, errors, and satisfaction with usability, the value was positive so that it was a type of unidirectional relationship. Thus, it could be concluded that the learnability, memorability, efficiency, Errors, and satisfaction, if further improved, the usability would also increase. The results of the correlation test for the category of learnability, memorability, efficiency, Errors, and satisfaction with usability was 0.000 < 0.05 then it correlated.
