Paving block or concrete brick is a component of building material made from a mixture of hydraulic cement or the like, aggregate and water with or without other additives that do not reduce the quality of the paving block. The problem of waste is a problem that will not run out, because as long as humans are alive they will still produce waste. Therefore, this study aims to find out how much compressive strength can be accepted by paving blocks mixed with plastic and sand with 3 variations in composition. The method used in this study is an experimental method carried out at the Medan State Polytechnic. From the research, the average compressive strength of Variation 1 (30% PET Plastic: 25% PP Plastic: 45% River Sand) is 14,2 Mpa, Variation 2 (40% PET Plastic: 20% PP Plastic: 40% River Sand) of 11,8 Mpa and Variation 3 (50% PET Plastic: 15% PP Plastic: 35% River Sand) of 8,75 Mpa. |
