Abstract: UMKM Suriana merupakan salah satu UMKM yang bergerak dibidang makanan ringan yaitu pisang sale. UMKM ini berdiri sejak tahun 2015 dan berlokasi di Desa Perlanaan, Kecamatan Bandar, Kabupaten Simalungun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui kata kansei (keinginan) yang berpengaruh terhadap desain kemasan yang diinginkan konsumen, Menentukan atribut dalam kemasan dengan metode Kansei Engineering dan menghasilkan desain kemasan pisang sale di UMKM Suriana dengan menggunakan metode kansei engineering. Metode Kansei Engineering adalah metode yang dipakai untuk mengidentifikasi aspek psikologis konsumen saat berinteraksi dengan produk dan menemukan hubungan antara perasaan tersebut dengan karakteristik produk berdasarkan citra image konsumen diartikan sebagai picture of mind, yaitu suatu gambaran yang ada di dalam benak seseorang. Penarikan sampel menggunakan metode survei yaitu suatu cara pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan angket sebagai alat penelitian yang dilakukan pada populasi dan hanya 50 responden yang diambil dan diteliti. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Kansei Engineering, hasil dari pengolahan data yang berupa perhitungan akan dianalisa, dilakukan pemecahan masalah, lalu diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan spesifikasi kategori kemasan pisang sale yang terpilih adalah bentuk kemasan standing pouch dengan bahan kemasan aluminium foil, warna kemasan kunig dan hijau, ukuran kemasan sedang berat 150 g, dan lebar x panjang 14 x 23 bentuk merek bulat, warna tulisan merek putih, petunjuk tentang informasi produk dan terdapat gambar pisang sale. MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) Suriana is one of the MSMEs engaged in snacks, namely banana Sale. This UMKM was founded in 2015 and is located in Perlanaan Village, Bandar District, Simalungun Regency. This study aimed to determine the Kansei words (desire) that affect the packaging design desired by consumers; to determine the attributes in the packaging using the Kansei Engineering method and produce a banana Sale packaging design at MSME Suriana using the Kansei engineering method. The Kansei Engineering method was a method used to identify the consumers' psychological aspects when interacting with products and found the relationship between these feelings and product characteristics based on the consumer's image. It was defined as picture of mind, an image that was in one's mind. Sampling used a survey method, which was a way of taking samples using questionnaires as the research tool, carried out on the population, and only 50 respondents were taken and studied. The data processing technique was performed using the Kansei Engineering method. The results of data processing in calculations would be analyzed, problem-solving was carried out, and then recommendations for improvement were given. The results showed that the specifications for the banana Sale packaging category selected were standing pouch packaging with aluminum foil packaging material, yellow and green packaging color, medium packaging size weighing 150 g, width x length of 14 x 23, round brand shape, white color brand writing, instructions on product information, and picture of a banana Sale.
