Analisa Mutu Aspal Minyak Penetrasi 60/70 dengan Aspal Retona Blend 55 pada Lapisan Atas AC-WC untuk Perkerasan Jalan Raya

Abstract

Asphalt which serves as a binder is an essential material in road construction. Asphalt characteristics affecting the performance of asphalt mixture. Therefore,the asphalt with good quality will produce amix of pavement with good performance there are various ways to improve the quality of asphalt. One way to improve the quality of the asphalt is to use material modifications that have been available on the market. A new material that is retona. Retona (refinend buton asphalt) is the result of extraction of natural asphalt production of buton island. Some previous studies showed that retona can improve the proformance of asphalt mixture. Laboratory studies ware conducted to determine the characteristics of the asphalt blend 55 and compare it with bitumen pen 60/70. Testing was conducted to determine the characteristics of a mixture of AC/WC. Gradation curves are cut fuller and was under the ban area. Marshall test results indicate that the stability of the mixture using a blend retona 55 higher than the 60/70 pen asphalt mixture with a specific gravity of 1.1 and a softening point of 55.5ºC versus 1.01 and 48ºC
