Hubungan Perhatian Orang tua dan Kepercayaan Diri Dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan

Abstract

The subjects were all students of SMP Muhammadiyah 57 Medan, This study aims to: (1) the relationship of attention parents (2) the relationship of self-confidence and (3) the relationship of attention parents and self-confidence. The number of samples is set as many as 85 respondents to take the entire population being sampled or (total sampling) as a variable sample idependen the attention of parents, and confidence while dependentnya variable is student achievement. The analysis used is included, test validity, test reliablitas, the prerequisite test analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, and test lenearitas and hypothesis testing to test the correlation between variables, partial test and multiple correlation test. Based on the results: (1) the relationships of attention parents with student achievement (ry1) of 0.230, (2) the relationship of self-confidence with student achievement (ry2) of 0.305 and (3) the relationship of attention parents and self-confidence with student achievement (Ry(12)) of 0.363. From the results of this research is that variables parents' attention and confidence related to student achievement. Variable contribution of parental attention contribute to student learning perestasi 23%. While the contribution of the variable contribution of 30.5% of students self-confidence, then the variable parental attention and confidence jointly contribute terahadap student achievement by 36.3%. Thus, it can be said that the improvement of student achievement can be done by increasing parental and student confidence.
