Abstract: | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan abu ampas tebu terhadap kuat tekan paving block sebagai bahan tambahan semen dalam pembuatan paving block dan apakah abu ampas tebu tersebut efektif digunakan sebagai bahan tambah material untuk paving block. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan yang disebabkan oleh limbah tanaman tebu dan menjadikan limbah sebagai tambahan tambahan teknologi bahan konstruksi serta mengetahui berapa kuat tekan pada paving block untuk digunakan sebagai sarana konstruksi yang ada. Bahan campuran paving block pada penelitian ini yaitu semen : pasir : air adalah 1 : 2 : 0,30. Abu ampas tebu dicampur dengan variasi 4% sebagai bahan tambahan semen dan sebagai pembanding dibuat campuran dengan kadar abu ampas tebu 0%. Benda uji paving block dikeringkan selama 14 hari da 28 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan paving block tanpa penggunaan abu ampas tebu pada umur 14 hari memiliki kuat tekan 319,942 Kg/cm2 dan umur 28 hari sebesar 338,428 Kg/cm2, paving block dengan penggunaan abu ampas tebu 4% pada umur 14 hari memiliki kuat tekan 277,024 Kg/cm2 dan umur 28 hari sebesar 333,888 Kg/cm2. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan abu ampas tebu 4% pada paving block semakin menurun kuat tekan paving block tetapi masih memenuhi syarat paving block dengan mutu kelas B. Hal ini dikarenakan beberapa faktor yaitu, sifat dan kandungan dalam abu ampas tebu, faktor pamadatan mesin, perbandingan campuran. This study was conducted to determine how the effect of the use of bagasse ash on the compressive strength of paving blocks as an additional material for cement in the manufacture of paving blocks and whether bagasse ash is effectively used as an additional material for paving blocks. The purpose of this study is to reduce environmental pollution caused by sugarcane waste and make waste as an additional addition to construction material technology and to find out how much compressive strength is on paving blocks to be used as existing construction facilities. The mixture of paving blocks in this study is cement: sand: water is 1: 2:0.30. Bagasse ash was mixed with a variation of 4% as a cement additive and as a comparison made a mixture with 0% bagasse ash content. Paving block specimens were dried for 14 days and 28 days. The results showed that paving blocks without the use of bagasse ash at the age of 14 days had a compressive strength of 319,942 Kg/cm2 and at 28 days of 338,428 Kg/cm2, paving blocks with the use of 4% bagasse ash at the age of 14 days had a compressive strength of 277.024 Kg/ cm2 and the age of 28 days is 333,888 Kg/cm2. It can be concluded that the use of 4% bagasse ash in paving blocks decreases the compressive strength of paving blocks but still meets the requirements for paving blocks with class B quality. This is due to several factors, namely, the nature and content of bagasse ash, machine compaction factors, mixture ratios. |
