Abstract: CV. Mission Tani merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur yang menghasilkan pupuk organik dan dilakukan dengan beberapa proses semi manual. Dalam proses kerja tersebut diantaranya pengoperasian mesin pencacah dan ayakan manual ditemukan kendala seperti; ayakan tidak mampu memenuhi kapasitas yang diinginkan dan adanya keluhan dari para pekerja terkait mudahnya mengalami kelelahan pada otot tangan, kaki, dan punggung. Pengolahan data manual material handling (MMH) dilakukan dengan menghitung nilai recommended weight limit (RWL) dan nilai 9,3 kg lifting index (LI) dari posisi awal operator (origin) dengan nilai 4,73 dan posisi akhir operator (destination) dengan nilai 3, menghitung Maximum Permissible Limit (MPL) 825,9528 N dan Action Limit (AL) 275,318 N untuk mengetahui gaya kompresi L5/S1 yang diterima oleh pekerja dan menghitung antropometri untuk menentukan dimensi alat yang diusulkan. Pekerjaan pemindahan pupuk kompos dari timbangan ke pengayakan dilakukan oleh 1 orang pekerja dengan cara memegang, mengangkat, membawa dan meletakkan secara manual tanpa bantuan alat material handling dan frekuensi pengayakan rata-rata sebanyak 112 kali per jam atau total sebesar 854 kali dalam 7 jam kerja. kemudian didapatkan data keluhan pekerja sebelum melakukan aktifitas kerja yaitu adanya keluhan pada bagian punggung yang terasa sakit dan setelah melakukan aktifitas kerja keluhan punggung dan pergelangan otot yang sakit menjadi sangat sakit dan ditambah adanya keluhan bagian pinggang sehingga dapat menimbulkan musculoskeletal disorder dan perlu dilakukan tindakan perbaikan terhadap pekerjaan tersebut. Perbaikan yang diusulkan yaitu menggunakan pengayakan sebagai alat material handling, sehingga kegiatan manual material handling dapat diminimalisir. Bila diterapkan pengayakan manual menggunakan mesin maka pekerja hanya bertugas memasukkan ke mesin pengayakan dan aktifitas ini hanya mengakibatkan resiko kerja yang rendah. CV. Mission Tani is a company in manufacturing that produces organic fertilizer and carried out several semi-manual processes. In the work process, including the operation of the chopping machine and manual sieve, problems were found, such as the sieve is not able to meet the expected capacity, and there are complaints from workers related to easy fatigue in the muscles of the hands, feet, and back. The Manual material handling (MMH) data processing was by calculating the recommended weight limit (RWL) value and the 9.3 kg lifting index (LI) value from the operator's initial position (origin) with a value of 4.73 and the operator's final position (destination) with a value 3, then calculating the Maximum Permissible Limit (MPL) of 825.9528 N and Action Limit (AL) of 275.318 N to determine the L5/S1 compression force received by workers and calculating anthropometry to determine the dimensions of the proposed tool. The work of transferring compost from the scale to the sieve was carried out by 1 (one) worker by holding, lifting, carrying, and placing it manually without material handling equipment aid, meanwhile the average sifting frequency was 112 times per hour or a total of 854 times in 7 working hours. Furthermore, data obtained from worker complaints before carrying out work activities, namely complaints on the back that felt painful and after carrying out work activities, the back and wrists complaints of the sore muscles become very painful and added complaints from the waist so that it led to cause musculoskeletal disorders then corrective action was needed to the job. The proposed improvement was using a sieve as a material handling tool so that manual material handling activities could be minimized. By applying manual sieving using a machine, the worker was tasked with putting it into the sieving machine only, and this activity only resulted in low work risk.
