dc.description.abstractMenurut Departemen Perdagangan RI (2009), industri kreatif adalah industri yang berasal dari pemanfaatan kreatifitas, keterampilan, dan bakat individu untuk menciptakan kesejahteraan dan lapangan pekerjaan yang dimana menurut kemenparekraf dari statistik ekonomi kreatif terdapat 17 subsektor ekonomi kreatif yang berkembang di Indonesia yaitu : Aplikasi, Arsitektur, Desain komunikasi visual, Fotografi, Musik, Kriya, Kuliner, Fesyen, Penerbitan, Film Animasi & Video, Periklanan, Permainan Interaktif, Seni Pertunjukan, Seni Rupa , TV & Radio, Desain Produk, Desain Interior. Menurut Kemenparekraf indonesia menjadi inisiator untuk mendorong kebangkitan sektor ekonomi kreatif dunia, Berdasarkan publikasi Kemenparekraf, pada tahun 2019 sub sektor ekonomi kreatif menyumbangkan Rp.1.153,4 Triliun PDB atau 7,3% terhadap total PDB Nasional, 15,2% tenaga kerja, dan 11,9% ekspor. Dari data, ini mempunyai potensi yang sangat besar agar sektor perekonomian di kota Medan meningkat. Karena Medan merupakan salah satu kota yang mempunyai populasi penduduk terbesar di luar pulau Jawa. menurut data dari Dinas Budaya dan Pariwisata Sumut, terdapat sekitar 519 jumlah unit usaha industri kreatif, padahal nyatanya dilapangan banyak pelakupelaku industri kreatif di kota Medan ini bergerak secara individu. Sehingga banyak produk/karya yang dihasilkan kurang bervariasi. Dengan masalah yang dihadapi ini, oleh karena itu perlunya tempat atau wadah yang dapat menampung kegiatan dari para pelaku industri kreatif. Pendekatan desain merupakan suatu standar yang dalam penerapan desain itu sendiri dinilai dari efisiensi untuk menciptakan suatu desain bangunan. Pada “Pusat Industri Kreatif” ini melalui pendekatan seorang arsitek yaitu Ieoh Ming Pei. Ieoh Ming Pei salah satu arsitek pelopor tema kontemporer yang dimana beliau mempunyai ciri khas setiap desainnya menerapkan beberapa konsep, salah satunya konsep yang disebut life of people yang mempunyai maksud setiap karyanya dia memikirkan 3 tentang humanisme Oleh karena itu konsep dengan pendekatan Ieoh Ming Pei ini dapat menjadi suatu elaborasi tema dengan judul yang baik agar menghasilkan bangunan yang identik dengan kreatifitas. According to the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia (2009), the creative industry is an industry that originates from the utilization of individual creativity, skills and talents to create welfare and employment where according to the ministry of tourism and creative economy statistics there are 17 creative economy subsectors that are developing in Indonesia, namely: Applications, Architecture, Visual Communication Design, Photography, Music, Craft, Culinary, Fashion, Publishing, Animated & Video Films, Advertising, Interactive Games, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, TV & Radio, Product Design, Interior Design. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Indonesia was the initiator to encourage the revival of the world's creative economy sector. Based on the publication of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, in 2019 the creative economy sub-sector contributed IDR 1,153.4 trillion to GDP or 7.3% of the total National GDP, 15.2% of the workforce, and 11.9% export. From the data, this has enormous potential so that the economic sector in Medan city increases. Because Medan is one of the cities that has the largest population outside Java. according to data from the Culture and Tourism Office of North Sumatra, there are around 519 creative industry business units, even though in reality many creative industry players in the city of Medan operate individually. So that many products / works produced are less varied. With this problem faced, therefore the need for a place or container that can accommodate the activities of creative industry players. The design approach is a standard which in the application of the design itself is assessed from the efficiency to create a building design. In this "Creative Industry Center" through the approach of an architect, namely Ieoh Ming Pei. Ieoh Ming Pei, one of the pioneer architects of contemporary themes, in which he has a characteristic for each of his designs, applies several concepts, one of which is the concept called life of people, which means that in each of his works he thinks 3 about humanism. Therefore, this concept with Ieoh Ming Pei's approach can become an elaboration of a theme with a good title in order to produce a building that is synonymous with creativity.en_US
