Utilization of solar energy that is not optimal in the city of Medan is a case that requires a solution to solve it. This is due to a lack of understanding of the concept of work and the factors that affect the efficiency of the power generated by solar panels. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of sunlight intensity on off-grid monocrystalline type solar panels based on pulse width modulation. Based on research on the effect of sunlight intensity on the energy of off-grid monocrystalline type solar panels based on pulse width modulation, it can be concluded that the effect of sunlight intensity on clear weather produces a current of ≥ 13.8 Ampere. As for the effect of sunlight intensity on sunny weather, namely: 50000 Lux can produce a voltage efficiency of 13.86 Volts.
