Abstract: | Masalah yang terjadi di PT.Sinar Gunung Sawit Raya adalah kurangnya energi listrik dari PLN dan biaya listrik terlalu mahal yang mengakibatkan kekurangan energi listrik dan peningkatan biaya energi listrik. Penggunaan cangkang dan serat sebagai bahan bakar boiler merupakan suatu pilihan dalam menghasilkan uap sebagai penggerak turbin untuk energi listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis pemanfaatan cangkang dan serat (fibre) produksi CPO (crude palm oil) sebagai bahan alternatif pembangkit listrik dan menganalisis kebutuhan energi listrik pada proses produksi CPO di PT. SGSR. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahanan data, diperoleh bahwa PT. Sinar Gunung Sawit Raya memiliki sistem Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap sendiri dengan kapasitas total daya turbin-generator sebesar 974 kWh, dimana kebutuhan energi listrik untuk proses pengolahan kelapa sawit sebesar 652 kWh. Potensi jumlah bahan bakar cangkang dan serat (fibre) sebesar 9450 kg/jam dan perhitungan kebutuhan bahan bakar boiler diketahui sebesar 6198.93 kg/jam. Dari hasil analisis data tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan cangkang dan serat (fibre) menjadi bahan bakar boiler dapat menghasilkan energi listrik yang mampu mencukupi kebutuhan energi listrik pada proses pengolahan kelapa sawit dan perusahaan dapat melakukan penghematan untuk pengeluaran biaya energi listrik. The problems had occurred at PT Sinar Ghunung Sawit Raya are the lack of electrical energy from the State Electricity Company/Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and the electricity costs being too expensive resulted in a shortage of electrical energy and an increase in the electrical energy costs. Shells and fibers utilization as boiler fuels is an option for producing steam to drive turbines for electrical cnergy. This study aimed to analyze the CPO(Crude Palm Oil) production shells and fibers utilization as alternative matcrials for power generation and the demand for electrical energy in the CPO production process at PT. SGSR. Based on the data processing results, it was found that PT Sinar Gunung Sawit Raya owned a Steam Power Generation system with a total turbine-generator power capacity of 974 kWh, where the need for electrical energy for palm oil processing was 652 kWh. The potential amount of shells and fiber fuel was 9,450 kg/hour, and the calculation of boiler fuel needs was 6,198.93 kg/hour. From the results of the data analysis, it concluded that the utilization of shells and fibers as boiler fucl could produce electrical energy in mecting the needs of electrical energy in the palm oil processing process, and companies could save spending on electrical energy costs. |
