The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation between emotional intelligence and discipline in students of SMK N 1 Percut Sei Tuan North Sumatra. The subjects of this study were 60 students of SMK N 1 Percut Sei Tuan North Sumatra with the Purposive Sampling technique. Data collection uses two scales, namely the emotional intelligence scale compiled using Goleman's theory, and the discipline scale collected using Arikunto's theory using the Likert method. Data analysis in this study used correlational tests using Pearson product-moment. It is obtained from the analysis results (rxy = 0.674 ; p = 0.000 < 0.005). This means that the hypothesis is accepted, the higher the emotional intelligence, the higher the discipline, and vice versa, the lower the emotional intelligence, the lower the discipline. In this study, emotional intelligence was classified as low with an empirical mean of 90,17, and discipline was classified as low with an empirical mean of 73.02. The contribution of emotional intelligence to discipline is 45,4% (r2=0,454).
