Skala kontrol diri disusun berdasarkan aspek menurut Averill (dalam Ghufron & Risnawati, 2011): Kontrol perilaku (behavior control), Kontrol Kognitif (cognitif control), Mengontrol Keputusan (decesional control). This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior in members of the Vijar Labuhanbatu Raya motorcycle community. The type of research used is a quantitative approach. The sample taken in this study was the entire population of 53 people. The self-control scale is arranged based on aspects according to Averill (in Ghufron & Risnawati, 2011): Behavior control (behavior control), Cognitive Control (cognitive control), Controlling Decisions (decesional control). The scale of consumptive behavior is arranged based on aspects according to Fransisca & Suyasa (2005) mentioning aspects of consumptive behavior, namely: Liking branded/expensive products, Liking new products or new fashions, Shopping activities as entertainment, Shopping activities are impulsive. Based on the calculation results of correlation analysisproduct moment, it is known that there is a significant negative relationship between Self-Control and Consumptive Behavior. This is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.340, with a significant p = 0.000 < 0.05. Determinant coefficient r2 = 0.116. This shows that self-control contributes to consumptive behavior by 11.6%. Self-control is classified as high with a hypothetical mean value of 77.5 < the empirical mean of 103.74 and the difference exceeds one SD of 11.619. Furthermore, consumptive behavior classified as low with a mean hypothetical value of 105.00 and an empirical value of 86.538 and the difference exceeds one SD of 15.397.
