Facility layout is defined as the activities of analyzing, conceptualizing, designing and realizing a system for the manufacture of goods or services in order to create an efficient flow of goods planning to obtain economical production, effective, dynamic and safe physical facility planning. An effective layout will certainly improve time and space efficiency, as well as minimize damaged spare parts, which in turn can minimize losses. To help complete and maximize layout arrangements using the 5S method, namely Seiri (sorting), Seiton (cleaning), Seiketsu ( stabilization), and Shitsuke (habituation). Data collection in this thesis is carried out by conducting interviews and making direct observations in the field. Effectiveness is a description of the level of success or superiority in achieving the set goals and the existence of attachments between various values. From the preparation of the predicates that have been explained in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that several assessments of the results of measuring the percentage of the application of seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke are as follows: Seiri (Segregation) separates things that are needed from those that are not needed, then gets rid of those that are not needed get a value of 50% (less effective). Seiton (Organization) performs activities to place items needed to facilitate search and storage to get a score of 50% (less effective). Seiso (Cleaning) carries out activities to clean the workplace thoroughly so that it is always in good condition to obtain a score of 100% (effective). Seiketsu (Strengthening) keeping things in good condition gets a score of 100% (effective). Shitsuke (Habituation) The condition where the four S were previously carried out in a disciplined manner and made into a culture obtained a score of 75% (effective enough). Which means that improvements are needed in terms of seiri (sorting) and seiton (organization).en_US
