Hubungan antara Fungsi Keluarga dengan Kecenderungan Depresi pada Mahasiswa Psikologi di Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji adanya hubungan antara fungsi keluarga dengan kecenderungan depresi pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi di Universitas Medan Area. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Subjek yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 201 Mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likert berdasarkan skala CFAI dan skala BDI-II yang diolah dengan metode Kalmogrov-Smirnov menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 25.00 for Windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi spearman pho, diketahui bahwa adanya hubungan negatif antara fungsi keluarga dengan kecenderungan depresi, dimana r = -0,446 dengan sig <0,000 artinya hipotesis diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa fungsi keluarga dalam konteks ini dapat berpengaruh baik secara negatif terhadap kecenderungan depresi mahasiswa. This study aims to examine the relationship between family function and the tendency to depression in psychology faculty students at Medan Area University. The research method uses quantitative methods with sampling using total sampling techniques. The subjects used in this research were 201 students. The data collection method uses a Likert scale based on the CFAI scale and the BDI-II scale which is processed using the Kalmogrov-Smirnov method using SPSS 25.00 for Windows software. Based on the results of the Spearman Pho correlation analysis, it is known that there is a negative relationship between family function and the tendency to depression, where r = -0.446 with sig <0.000, meaning the hypothesis is accepted. The results of this research indicate that family function in this context can have negative effects on the tendency of depression on students.
