dc.description.abstract | Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ditimbulkan akibat sampah plastik yaitu dengan menggunakan proses injection molding. Dengan adanya proses injection molding, maka dapat dilakukan pengolahan sampah plastik seperti botol-botol plastik menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi dan bernilai guna karena pada proses ini tidak ada batasan kerumitan desain produk, sehingga dapat menghasilkan variasi produk yang luas dan ukuran produk yang dapat dicetak dari produk kecil hingga besar. Dalam penelitian ini, kami menggunakan metode kuantitatif, yaitu melalui pengamatan secara langsung, dan pengumpulan data. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian mesin menggunakan bahan plastik jenis polyethylene terephthalate dengan variasi suhu yaitu 250℃, 275℃, 300℃ pada tekanan 70 N/cm2 dengan daya band heater sebesar 1500 watt. Sehingga didapat volume cetakan dari hasil uji coba mesin ini yaitu pengujian pertama dengan suhu 250℃ menghasilkan volume sebesar 358,6351 cm3; pengujian kedua dengan suhu 275℃ menghasilkan volume sebesar 385,0156 cm3 ; pengujian ketiga dengan suhu 300℃ menghasilkan volume sebesar 397,2089 cm3 sehingga mesin ini telah berhasil menghasilkan volume cetakan sebesar 300 cm3. One way to overcome the problems caused by waste plastic, namely by using an injection molding process. As is injection molding process, plastic waste processing can be carried out such as plastic bottles into products that have economic value high and useful because in this process there is no limit to the complexity of the design products, so that it can produce a wide variety of products and product sizes which can be printed from small to large products. In this research, we using quantitative methods, namely through direct observation, and data collection. Then machine testing is carried out using the materials polyethylene terephthalate type plastic with temperature variations, namely 250℃, 275℃, 300℃ at a pressure of 70 N/cm2 with a band heater power of 1500 watts. So that the mold volume is obtained from the results of testing this machine, namely testing first with a temperature of 250℃ produces a volume of 358.6351 cm3; the second test with a temperature of 275℃ produced a volume of 385.0156 cm3 ; the third test with a temperature of 300℃ produced a volume of 397.2089 cm3 so that this machine has succeeded in producing a mold volume of 300 cm3. | en_US |
