dc.description.abstract | Permasalahan yang terdapat di UKM kopi cimbang sinabung ini yaitu masih menggunakan mesin pulper kopi otomatis motor bensin yang belum begitu efektif, karena masih menggunakan material sederhana yang mudah berkarat dan perakitan kontruksi seadanya. Selain itu faktor yang menyebabkan kendala dalam penggilingan kopi yaitu mesin pulper yang kapasitasnya hanya mencapai 90 kg/jam, sehingga dalam penggilingan dan memproduksi biji kopi juga menjadi kurang berkualitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui redesign mesin pulper kopi dengan metode rasional agar dapat meningkatkan Produktivitas produksi mesin pulper kopi. Metode Rasional banyak digunakan dalam perancangan produk karena dinilai memiliki tahapan yang jelas sehingga dapat memberikan hasil rancangan dan produk akhir yang berkualitas. Hasil penelitian setelah meredesign mesin adalah penulis mengusulkan mesin pulper menggunakan 2 silinder penggiling, sehingga mempercepat dalam melakukan proses penggilingan kopi dan menghasilkan produktivitas produksi mesin sebesar 125% dari mesin yang sebelum di redesign sebesar 75%, sehingga produktivitas produksi meningkat 50%. The problem in the Cimbang Sinabung coffee UKM is that it still uses automatic coffee pulper machines with petrol motors which are not very effective, because they still use simple materials that rust easily and make simple construction assemblies. Apart from that, the factor that causes problems in grinding coffee is the pulper machine, which only has a capacity of 90 kg/hour, so that when grinding and producing coffee beans the quality is also poor. The aim of this research is to determine the redesign of coffee pulper machines using rational methods in order to increase the productivity of coffee pulper machine production. The Rational Method is widely used in product design because it is considered to have clear stages so that it can produce quality design results and final products. The results of the research after redesigning the machine are that the author proposes a pulper machine using 2 grinding cylinders, thus speeding up the coffee grinding process and resulting in machine production productivity of 125% compared to the machine before the redesign of 75%, so that production productivity increases by 50%. | en_US |
