dc.description.abstractMesin pendingin AC (Air Conditioner) bekerja berdasarkan siklus pendingin kompresi uap (vapor compression refrigeration cycle). Pada siklus pendingin ini terdapat 4 komponen utama yaitu: evaporator, kompresor, kondensor, dan alat ekspansi. Untuk mengukur unjuk kerja pada mesin pendingin biasanya dinyatakan dengan COP (Coefficient Of Performance). COP merupakan efek refrigerasi dibagi dengan kerja yang diperlukan sistem (kerja kompresor) Semakin tinggi COP yang dimiliki oleh suatu mesin pendingin maka akan semakin efisien mesin pendingin tersebut. Adapun rumusan masalah yang diambil pada Tugas Akhir ini adalah kinerja evaporator terhadap Coefficient of Performance (COP) AC split, bagaimana pengaruh evaporator terhadap efek refrigerasi. Air conditioners work on a vapor compression refrigeration cycle. There are 4 main components in this cooling cycle, namely: evaporator, compressor, condenser, and expansion device. To measure the performance of a refrigeration machine, it is usually expressed by COP (Coefficient Of Performance). COP is the refrigeration effect divided by the work required by the system (compressor work). The higher the COP owned by a refrigeration machine, the more efficient the refrigeration machine will be. The formulation of the problem taken in this Final Project is the performance of the evaporator on the Coefficient of Performance (COP) of spliten_US
