Abstract: Penelitian ini dilakukan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian yang berada di Jalan Kolam No. 1 Medan Estate Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan dengan ketinggian 22 meter di atas permukaan laut (dpl). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2018 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2019. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan, yaitu :1.Biochar gabah kosong yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu ; B0 = kontrol (tanpa biochar); B1 = biochar gabah kosong padi 5 ton/ha (0,5 kg/m2 B2 = biochar gabah kosong padi 10 ton/ha (1 kg/m2 ); 2. ); Pupuk kandang sapi yang terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu :S0 = kontrol (tidak menggunakan pupuk kandang sapi); S1 = pupuk kandang sapi dosis 5 ton/ha (0,5 2 kg/m ); S2 = pupuk kandang sapi dosis 10 ton/ha (1 kg/m2 2 ); S3 = pupuk kandang sapi dosis 15 ton/ha (1,5 kg/m ), masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali sehingga terdapat 36 plot percobaa. Setiap plot percobaan terdiri dari 25 tanaman dengan 5 tanaman sampel. Parameter yang diamati yaitu: tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan,panjang malai per sampel (cm),berat produksi gabah per sampel (g),dan berat produksi gabah per plot (g). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Pemberian biochar gabah kosong berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang malai, berat gabah per sampel dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat gabah per plot, 2.Pemberian pupuk kandang sapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang malai, berat gabah per sampel dan berat gabah per plot, 3. Interaksi antara pemberian biochar gabah kosong dengan pupuk Kandang sapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman,jumlah anakan, panjangmalai,berat gabah per sampel dan terhadap berat gabah per plot. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture which is located at Jalan Pond No. 1 Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan District with a height of 22 meters above sea level (asl). This research was conducted from September 2018 to February 2019. This research was conducted using a Factorial Randomized Group Design (RBD) which consisted of 2 treatment factors, namely: 1. Biochar of empty grain which consisted of 3 treatment levels, namely; B0 = control (without biochar); B1 = empty grain biochar 5 tons/ha (0.5 kg/m2); B2 = biochar empty rice paddy 10 tonnes/ha (1 kg/m2); 2. Cow manure consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely: S0 = control (not using cow manure); S1 = 5 tons/ha (0.5 kg/m2) of cow manure; S2 = 10 tons/ha (1 kg/m2) of cow manure; S3 = cow manure dose of 15 tons/ha (1.5 kg/m2), each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times so that there were 36 experimental plots. Each experimental plot consisted of 25 plants with 5 sample plants. Parameters observed were: plant height, number of tillers, panicle length per sample (cm), weight of grain production per sample (g), and weight of grain production per plot (g). The results of this study are as follows: 1. Giving empty grain biochar bersignificant effect on plant height, number of tillers, panicle length, grain weight per sample and very significant effect on grain weight per plot, 2. Giving cow manure significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, panicle length, grain weight per sample and grain weight per plot, 3. Interaction between administration empty grain biochar with cow manurehad no significant effect on plant height, number of tillers, panicle length, grain weight per sample and on grain weight per plot.
