Abstract: | Pendidikan merupakan kunci pertama untuk keberhasilan manusia untuk masa depannya. Tujuan yang dirumuskan tidak banyak melibatkan siswa pada kegiatan pembelajaran tingkat tinggi, maka proses pembelajarannya pun akan menunjukan pada keterlibatan yang rendah pada diri siswa. Konsep diri siswa terhadap tingkat kesulitan tugas atau materi yang dihadapi dapat mempengaruhi perilaku siswa dalam belajar. Siswa yang memiliki Self-concept cenderung akan lebih bekerja keras dalam menyelesaikan tugas atau memahami materi. Dalam proses siswa mengembangkan potensi belajar, interaksi mereka dengan lingkungan sosial proksimal mereka (misalnya, lingkungan keluarga) adalah yang paling penting. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh Self-concept terhadap family support, pengaruh family support terhadap student engagement, pengaruh Self-concept terhadap student engagement, dan pengaruh Self-concept terhadap student engagement terhadap family support sebagai variabel mediasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh self-concept terhadap family support, dengan nilai C.R atau t hitung sebesar 5,353 > 1,96 atau nilai p-value sebesar atau dengan symbol *** (0.000) < 0,05). Terdapat pengaruh family support terhadap student engagement, dengan nilai C.R atau t hitung sebesar 2,412 > 1,96 atau nilai p-value sebesar 0.016 < 0,05. Tidak terdapat pengaruh self-concept terhadap student engagement, dengan nilai C.R atau t hitung sebesar -0,291 < 1,96 atau nilai p-value sebesar 0.771 > 0,05. Terdapat pengaruh self-concept terhadap student engagement dengan family support sebagai mediasi, dengan Sobel test statitik sebesar 2.202 > 1.96, dan atau dengan nilai p-value (two-tailed) sebesar 0.02 < 0.05. Education is the first key to human success for the future. The formulated objectives do not involve students in high-level learning activities, so the learning process will also show low involvement in students. Students' self-concept regarding the level of difficulty of the task or material they face can influence students' behavior in learning. Students who have a self-concept tend to work harder in completing assignments or understanding the material. In the process of students developing learning potential, their interactions with their proximal social environment (for example, the family environment) are of the utmost importance. The aim of the research is to examine the influence of Self-concept on family support, the influence of family support on student engagement, the influence of Self-concept on student engagement, and the influence of Self-concept on student engagement on family support as a mediating variable. This research uses quantitative methods. In this research, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results of this research show that there is an influence of self-concept on family support, with a C.R or t value of 5.353 > 1.96 or a p-value of or with the symbol *** (0.000) < 0.05). There is an influence of family support on student engagement, with a C.R or t value of 2.412 > 1.96 or a p-value of 0.016 < 0.05. There is no influence of self-concept on student engagement, with a C.R or t value of -0.291 < 1.96 or a p-value of 0.771 > 0.05. There is an influence of self-concept on student engagement with family support as mediation, with Sobel test statistics of 2,202 > 1.96, and/or with a p-value (two-tailed) of 0.02 < 0.05. |
