Abstract: | Mahasiswa yang mampu mempertahankan kemampuan dan berfungsi secara kompeten selama masa pendidikannya hingga selesai dapat dikatakan sebagai mahasiswa yang resilien. Untuk menjadi mahasiswa yang resilien dibutuhkan beberapa atribut dari sisi internal yaitu Self Efficacy yang merupakan keyakinan yang ada pada diri mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan dirinya agar mampu memenuhi tugas serta kewajibannya dan dari sisi eksternal yaitu dukungan sosial yang muncul dari teman, keluarga, dan signifficant others. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti Pengaruh Dukungan Sosial terhadap Resiliensi Akademik Mahasiswa melalui Self Efficacy sebagai variabel mediator. Penelitian ini memakai metode kuantitatif yang dilakukan pada 270 mahasiswa pada salah satu penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi swasta yang berada di kota Medan dengan rentang usia 21-27 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala MSPSS, skala general self efficacy, dan skala resiliensi akademik. Analisis mediasi menggunakan PLS-SEM memberikan hasil bahwa self efficacy mampu memediasi secara signifikan pengaruh antara dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi akademik (T-statistic = 4,440 > 1,96 dan P-Values = 0,000 < 0,05). Self Efficacy berperan secara parsial terhadap pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap resiliensi akademik mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang memiliki atribut dukungan sosial yang baik serta Self efficacy yang baik akan berusaha menghadapi permasalahan dan kewajiban akademiknya hingga pada akhirnya akan terbentuk mahasiswa yang resilien. Students who are able to maintain their abilities and function competently during their education period until completion can be said to be resilient students. To become a resilient student, it takes several attributes both from the internal side, namely Self Efficacy, which is the belief that exists in students about their ability to complete their tasks and obligations and from the external side, namely social support that comes from family, friends, and signifficant others. This study aims to examine the effect of social support on student academic resilience through self-efficacy as a mediator variable. This study uses quantitative methods conducted on 270 students at one of the private universities in Medan city with an age range of 21-27 years. The instruments used were the MSPSS scale, general self-efficacy scale, and academic resilience scale. The results of mediation analysis using PLS-SEM4 show that self efficacy significantly mediates the influence between social support on academic resilience (T-statistic = 4.440 > 1.96 and P-Values = 0.000 < 0.05). Self Efficacy plays a partial role in the influence of social support on student academic resilience. Students who have good social support and good self-efficacy will try to face their academic problems and obligations so that in the end resilient students will be formed. |
