Abstract: | Teknologi Informasi (TI) telah menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk pendidikan. Penerapan TI di sekolah-sekolah, seperti dalam penjadwalan mata pelajaran, sangat diperlukan untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah penjadwalan yang kompleks. Sekolah SMP Pahlawan Nasional Medan menghadapi kesulitan dalam penyusunan jadwal pelajaran secara manual, yang menyebabkan bentrokan jadwal dan memakan waktu lama. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, penelitian ini mengusulkan penerapan algoritma Genetika untuk penjadwalan mata pelajaran.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Genetika efektif dalam menghasilkan jadwal pelajaran yang optimal dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai kendala dan preferensi di sekolah. Proses seleksi, crossover, dan mutase dalam algoritma ini berperan penting dalam menemukan solusi optimal. Implementasi sistem ini di SMP Pahlawan Nasional Medan berhasil menghasilkan jadwal yang efisien dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah. Hasil penjadwalan menunjukkan pengaturan waktu yang lebih terstruktur dan distribusi beban mengajar yang merata bagi para guru. Dengan demikian, penerapan algoritma Genetika dapat menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk penjadwalan mata pelajaran di sekolah. Information Technology (IT) has become an important need in various fields, including education. The application of IT in schools, such as in subject scheduling, is very necessary to overcome complex scheduling problems. Medan National Hero Middle School faces difficulties in preparing lesson schedules manually, which causes schedule conflicts and takes a long time. To overcome this, this research proposes the application of the Genetic algorithm for scheduling subjects. The research results show that the Genetic algorithm is effective in producing an optimal lesson schedule by considering various constraints and preferences in schools. The selection, crossover and mutation processes in this algorithm play an important role in finding the optimal solution. The implementation of this system at the Medan National Hero Middle School succeeded in producing a schedule that was efficient and in line with the school's needs. The scheduling results show more structured time management and an even distribution of teaching load for teachers. Thus, the application of Genetic algorithms can be an effective solution for scheduling subjects in schools |
