Abstract: Cabai merah keriting (Capsicum annum L.) merupakan tanaman yang banyak dibudidayakan, dan menjadi komoditas yang popular termasuk Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetatahui pengaruh pemberian biochar sekam padi dan abu janjang kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annuum L). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor, yaitu : Pemberian biochar sekam padi, Terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu : B0 = Tanpa Biochar (0 kg/plot), B1 = Biochar Sekam Padi 5 ton/ha (0,6 kg/plot), B2 = Biochar Sekam Padi 10 ton/ha ( 1,2 kg/plot), B3 = Biochar Sekam Padi15 ton/ha (1,8 kg/plot). Pemberian kompos abu janjang, Terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu : K0 = Tanpa Abu (0 kg/plot), K1 = Abu Janjang Kelapa Sawit10 ton/ha (1,2 kg/plot), K2 = Abu Janjang Kelapa Sawit 20 ton/ha (2,4 kg/plot), K3 = Abu Janjang Kelapa Sawit 30 ton/ha (3,6 kg/plot). Masing-masing taraf perlakuan dilakukan satu kali, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pemberian biochar sekam padi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang, produksi tanaman per sampel, dan produksi tanaman per plot. Pemberian abu janjang kosong berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang, jumlah cabang, produksi tanaman per sampel, dan produksi tanaman per plot. kombinasi kedua faktor perlakuan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang, jumlah cabang, produksi tanaman per sampel, dan produksi tanaman per plot. Curly red chili (Capsicum annum L.) is a plant that is widely cultivated, and is a popular commodity, including Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of rice husk biochar and giving bunch ash on the growth and production of red chili plants (Capsicum annuum L). This research method used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors, namely: Administration of rice husk biochar, consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely: B0 = Without Biochar (0 kg/plot), B1 = 5 tons of Rice Husk Biochar /ha (0.6 kg/plot), B2 = Rice Husk Biochar 10 tonnes/ha (1.2 kg/plot), B3 = Rice Husk Biochar 15 tonnes/ha (1.8 kg/plot). Application of ash compost, consisting of 4 levels of treatment, namely: K0 = No ash (0 kg/plot), K1 = Palm Ashes 10 tonnes/ha (1.2 kg/plot), K2 = Palm Ashes 20 tonnes /ha (2.4 kg/plot), K3 = Palm Ashes 30 tonnes/ha (3.6 kg/plot). Each level of treatment was carried out once. The results showed that: Application of rice husk biochar had no significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, plant production per sample, and plant production per plot. The application of empty long ash had a significant effect on plant height but had no significant effect on stem diameter, number of branches, plant production per sample, and plant production per plot. the combination of the two treatment factors had a significant effect on plant height but had no significant effect on stem diameter, number of branches, plant production per sample, and plant production per plot.
