Abstract

Teknologi Informasi berkembang sangat cepat di era globalisasi yang serba cepat dan pesat, terutama dalam bidang aplikasi web. Sebagai lembaga pemerintahan, Kantor Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Sumatera Utara bertanggungjawab atas pengembangan olahraga dan pemberdayaan pemuda. Institusi ini mempekerjakan 46 pegawai honorer dan membutuhkan sistem yang dapat menangani absensi. Sistem absensi berbasis web yang di usulkan untuk di terapkan di Kantor Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Sumatera Utara bertujuan untuk mengurangi beban kerja admin, mempercapat proses rekapitulasi absensi, memudahkan pegawai untuk melakukan absensi, dan menurangi kemungkinan kecurangan dalam proses absensi. Sistem absensi yang di sarankan menggunakan berbagai teknologi seperti PHP, MySQL, dan web browser Google Chrome. Information Technology is rapidly advancing in the fast-paced and dynamic era of globalization, particularly in the field of the applications. As a government institution, the office of youth and sports of North Sumatera is responsible for the development of sports and the empowerment of youth. This institution employs 46 honorary workers and requires a system to manage attendance. The proposed web-based attendance system for the office of youth and sports of North Sumatera aims to reduce the administrative workload, expedite the attendance recapitulation process, facilitate employees in marking their attendance, and minimize potential fraud in the attendance process. The suggested attendance system utilizes various technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and the Google Chrome web browser.
