dc.description.abstract | Roda gigi miring merupakan komponen krusial dalam berbagai aplikasi industri dan mekanis, di mana keausan roda gigi dapat memengaruhi kinerja serta umur suatu sistem. Bahan polimer seperti polyeformaldehyde memiliki keunggulan dalam hal kekuatan, ketahanan terhadap bahan kimia, dan biaya produksi yang rendah. Namun, pemahaman mengenai pengaruh kondisi operasi , variasi rasio diameter serta beban terhadap keausan roda gigi polimer masih terbatas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan beberapa tahapan penyelesaian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban yang bervariasi terhadap keausan roda gigi miring berbahan polimer pada rasio diameter yang berbeda dalam dua kondisi operasi: kering dan terlumasi. Pengujian dilakukan setiap 200.000 rpm untuk setiap kombinasi modul dan kondisi, dengan beban yang bervariasi mulai dari 0 N hingga 0,32 N. Data putaran per menit (Rpm) dicatat untuk setiap variasi beban dan modul. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa untuk modul 2, putaran rpm berkisar dari 2650 hingga 3550 rpm , dengan peningkatan beban yang menyebabkan penurunan Rpm yang signifikan. Kondisi operasi (kering dan terlumasi) juga memengaruhi keausan roda gigi polimer, di mana data terlumasi menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda dibandingkan dengan kondisi kering. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting mengenai karakteristik keausan roda gigi polimer Politetrafluoroetilena menjadi referensi untuk pengembangan material serta desain roda gigi yang lebih tahan lama. Bevel gears are crucial components in various industrial and mechanical applications, where gear wear can impact the performance and lifespan of a system. Polymer materials such as polyformaldehyde offer advantages in terms of strength, chemical resistance, and low production costs. However, understanding the effects of operating conditions, variations in diameter ratios, and loads on polymer gear wear is still limited. The method used in this study was an experimental method with several stages of completion. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of varying loads on the wear of polymer bevel gears at different diameter ratios under two operating conditions: dry and lubricated. Tests were conducted at 200,000 rpm for each combination of modules and conditions, with loads varying from 0 N to 0.32 N. Revolutions per minute (RPM) were recorded for each load variation and module. The test results showed that for module 2, the rpm ranged from 2650 to 3550 rpm, with increasing load causing a significant decrease in rpm. Operating conditions (dry and lubricated) also affect polymer gear wear, with lubricated data showing different results compared to dry conditions. This study provides important insights into the wear characteristics of polymer gears. Polytetrafluoroethylene serves as a reference for material development and more durable gear designs. | en_US |
