Abstract: | Desa Kuta Bayu, Kecamatan Gunung Meriah, memiliki potensi alam dan sumber daya lokal yang besar namun tergolong sebagai desa tertinggal. The village of Kuta Bayu, which is located in the Gunung Meriah District, is considered to be an undeveloped community despite having a significant amount of natural potential and local resources. Using local materials like bamboo and sandstone, the purpose of this project is to develop an agrotourism area that will be called "Harvest." This area will incorporate the functions of an information centre, agricultural training, and educational tourist throughout its design. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology that includes field observation, interviews, documentation, literature evaluation, and comparison analysis. Several aspects of the location, including the climate, spatial function, structure, and local materials, were given careful consideration. The findings of the design demonstrate that taking the approach of utilising local resources may result in the creation of building designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also ecologically sustainable and in accordance with the peculiarities of the region. This design is also anticipated to reinforce local architectural identity, provide new employment possibilities, and improve local economic potential |
