Abstract: Studi ini dilaksanakan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara penghargaan self-esteem dan gratitude terhadap subjective well-being pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara self-esteem dengan subjective well-being dengan nilai r sebesar 0,878. Sementara itu, korelasi antara gratitude dan subjective well-being mencapai 0,899, yang menandakan kekuatan hubungan yang tinggi. Analisis korelasi berganda menunjukkan nilai R sebesar 0,911, yang berarti bahwa kontribusi gabungan self-esteem dan gratitude terhadap subjective well-being sebesar 91,1%. Temuan ini memperjelas bahwa kedua variabel tersebut bukan hanya berdampak secara individu, tetapi secara simultan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan subjective well-being pada mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan program yang berfokus pada peningkatan self-esteem dan gratitude diyakini dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam memperkuat kondisi emosional dan kebahagiaan mahasiswa di lingkungan akademik. This study was conducted to explore the relationship between self-esteem and gratitude on subjective well-being among students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The research employed a quantitative approach using multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed a significant relationship between self-esteem and subjective well-being, with an r-value of 0.878. Meanwhile, the correlation between gratitude and subjective well-being reached 0.899, indicating a strong relationship. The multiple correlation analysis showed an R-value of 0.911, which means that the combined contribution of self-esteem and gratitude to subjective well-being was 91.1%. These findings clarify that both variables not only have individual effects but also simultaneously contribute to the enhancement of students’ subjective well-being. Therefore, the development of programs focusing on the improvement of self-esteem and gratitude is believed to be an effective strategy in strengthening the emotional condition and happiness of students within the academic environment.
