PT. Industri Nabati Lestari is a subsidiary of PTPN 3 and PTPN 4 engaged in CPO processing. PT. Industri Nabati Lestari is located near the source of raw materials and is integrated into the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone (KEK). The problem faced by PT. Industri Nabati Lestari is the disorganized layout of each department within the factory, which is not aligned with the function and proximity relationship between departments. Therefore, in this research, the researcher aimed to propose improvements to the overall design of PT. Industri Nabati Lestari's factory, taking into account interdepartmental relationships to maximize material transfer efficiency and worker safety. The method used for the redesign of the factory layout was the BLOCPLAN method. After calculating the total distance between departments, the selected proposed layout was the third layout, which resulted in a total distance of 300.22 meters. The results obtained from the department relocation included: the weighbridge, which was initially located in the middle of the factory, was relocated near the security post; and the tank farm, which was initially on the left side of the factory, was moved to the right side away from the main road, considering that the previous location of the tank farm was too close to the road and could disturb road users due to air pollution from the boiling process in the tank farm.en_US
