| dc.description.abstract | Guru honorer seringkali menghadapi tantangan seperti ketidakpastian status pekerjaan, penghasilan rendah, serta tuntutan kerja yang tinggi, yang berpotensi menurunkan kesejahteraan psikologis (psychological wellbeing). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh social support terhadap psychological wellbeing pada guru honorer di Kecamatan Pancur Batu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 154 guru honorer yang diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan dasar skala psychological wellbeing Ryff dan dasar skala social support Weiss dan MSPSS (multidimensional scale of perceived social support) dengan analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara social support terhadap psychological wellbeing dengan nilai korelasi sebesar (r = 0,779, p < 0,01). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi social support yang diterima, maka semakin tinggi pula psychological wellbeing yang dirasakan guru honorer. Temuan ini sejalan dengan teori Cohen dan Wills yang menyatakan bahwa social support dapat menjadi penyangga stres dan memperkuat daya tahan individu terhadap tekanan psikologis. Dengan demikian, pentying bagi lingkungan sekitar baik keluarga, teman, maupun tempat guru honorer mengajar untuk memberikan dukungan yang optimal guna membantu guru honorer mencapai psychological wellbeing yang lebih baik. Saran yang dapat diberikan kepada guru honorer dengan melakukan refelksi harian singkat dengan memberikan satu afirmasi positif kepada diri sendiri setelah menjalani hari. Selain itu dapat membangun lingkaran kecil antar teman sesama guru honorer untuk menjadi teman curhat. Honorary teachers often encounter challenges such as job insecurity, low income, and high work demands, all of which can negatively affect their psychological well-being. This study aims to explore the influence of social support on the psychological well-being of honorary teachers in Pancur Batu District. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, the research involved 154 honorary teachers selected through accidental sampling. The instruments used included Ryff’s psychological well-being scale and the social support scale developed by Weiss along with the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression techniques. The results revealed a significant and positive relationship between social support and psychological well-being, with a correlation value of r = 0.779 and p < 0.01. This indicates that the more social support honorary teachers receive, the better their psychological well-being. The findings align with Cohen and Wills' theory, which suggests that social support functions as a buffer against stress and enhances one’s resilience to psychological pressure. Based on these results, it is recommended that honorary teachers practice daily self-reflection with positive affirmations and establish small peer support groups. These strategies can provide emotional outlets and contribute to improved mental well-being. | en_US |
