dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan Self-efficacy menulis berdasarkan jenis kelamin pada siswa SMP Swasta Karya Sedar di Kecamatan Biru- Biru, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Self-efficacy merupakan keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuannya dalam menyelesaikan tugas, termasuk dalam menulis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif komperatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling yang berjumlah 45 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala Self-efficacy menulis yang disusun berdasarkan tiga dimensi menurut Bruning (2013), yaitu ideation, conventions, dan Self-regulation, terdiri dari 10 item pernyataan dengan dua pilihan respons, yaitu Sangat Bisa Melakukannya (SBM) dan Sangat Tidak Bisa Melakukannya (STBM). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t independen (Independent Sample t-Test) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak JASP Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara Self-efficacy menulis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan nilai selisih rata-rata sebesar -7,98 dan nilai signifikansi p = 0,045 (p < 0,05). Secara keseluruhan, mayoritas siswa berada dalam kategori Self-efficacy sedang (66%), tinggi (23%), dan rendah (11%). Siswa perempuan memiliki tingkat efikasi menulis yang lebih tinggi (100%) dibandingkan siswa laki-laki (66%). Temuan ini mendukung hasil penelitian sebelunya yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan efikasi menulis berdasarkan jenis kelamin. This study aims to analyze differences in writing Self-efficacy based on gender among students of Karya Sedar Private Junior High School in Biru-Biru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Self-efficacy is an individual's belief in their ability to complete tasks, including writing. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students in grades VII, VIII, and IX of Karya Sedar Private Junior High School, totaling 45 students. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling. The instrument used was a writing Self- efficacy scale arranged based on three dimensions according to Bruning (2013), namely ideation, conventions, and Self-regulation, consisting of 16 statement items with two response options, namely Very Able to Do It (SBM) and Very Unable to Do It (STBM). The data were analyzed using an independent t-test (Independent Sample t-Test) with the help of JASP. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the writing Self-efficacy of male and female students, with an average difference value of -7.98 and a significance value of p = 0.045 (p < 0.05). This finding indicates that female students have a higher level of writing Self-efficacy than male students. Overall, the majority of students are in the medium (66%), high (23%), and low (11%) Self-efficacy categories. Female students have a higher level of writing efficacy (100%) than male students (66%). This finding supports the results of previous studies that show differences in writing efficacy based on gender.en_US
