This study aims to analyze factors influencing student learning motivation at MTs Hasanuddin Medan. Based on initial observations, it was found that several students lacked concentration in learning, were late to class, and had low participation when the teacher posed questions. The internal factors studied included academic goals or aspirations, learning abilities, and student conditions, while external factors included environmental conditions, dynamic learning dynamics, and teacher efforts. This study employed a quantitative approach with a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) method. Data were collected using a Likert scale, which was tested for validity and reliability. The results of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test showed the data were normally distributed (Internal: p=0.074; External: p=0.200). A KMO value of 0.500 and a Bartlett's Test significance of 0.000 indicate the data is suitable for analysis. Principal Component Analysis results indicate a factor loading of 0.818, contributing 90.4%. Descriptive analysis shows that internal factors increased by 32.7% from the hypothetical mean, while external factors only contributed 22.4%. Thus, internal factors are more dominant in influencing student learning motivation. This study is expected to serve as a reference for schools, teachers, and parents in creating a conducive learning environment. Further research is recommended to involve more schools, a larger number of respondents, and diverse research methods for more comprehensive results. |
