| Abstract: | Kilang padi menghasilkan limbah sekam dalam jumlah besar yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan limbah sekam padi menjadi kompos melalui pendekatan ekonomi sirkular di Kilang Padi Pak Horas. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi lapangan, analisis komposisi sekam, proses pengomposan, serta evaluasi kelayakan ekonomi dan lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekam padi dapat dikonversi menjadi kompos berkualitas baik dengan penambahan bahan organik lainnya, seperti kotoran ayam dan dolomit. Pendekatan ekonomi sirkular terbukti mampu mengurangi limbah, menciptakan nilai tambah, dan membuka peluang usaha berkelanjutan bagi kilang padi. Dengan demikian, model ini tidak hanya memberikan solusi pengelolaan limbah yang ramah lingkungan, tetapi juga mendorong penguatan ekonomi lokal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi sistem pengomposan sebagai bagian dari operasional kilang padi untuk mencapai keberlanjutan usaha. Data-data yang dikumpulkan melalui hasil wawancara dan observasi dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil kajian menyimpulkan bahwa Rata- rata volume limbah padi yang dihasilkan oleh UMKM Kilang Padi Pak Horas setiap bulannya adalah 337 kg. Dari eksperimen kelayakan, dalam satu bulan limbah sekam padi sebanyak 337 kg, kotoran ayam 60,18 kg dan dolomit sebanyak 36,09 kg didapatkan pupuk kompos sebanyak 433,27 kg. Dengan tingkat efisiensi pengomposan sebesar 80% maka 433,27 kg x 80% / 100 = 346,61 kg atau 347 kg pupuk kompos. Dari eksperimen berikut dalam sebulan dapat menghasilkan pupuk kompos sebanyak 17 sak dengan berat yaitu 20 kg/sak. Biaya produksi per unit Rp 400.810/17 Sak adalah Rp 23.500 dan ingin mendapatkan laba sebesar 65%, maka harga jual per sak atau unit adalah Rp 39.000. Rice mills produce large amounts of rice husk waste that has not been optimally utilized and has the potential to pollute the environment. This study aims to examine the utilization of rice husk waste into compost through a circular economy approach at the Pak Horas Rice Mill. The methods used include field studies, analysis of rice husk composition, composting processes, and evaluation of economic and environmental feasibility. The results of the study indicate that rice husks can be converted into good quality compost with the addition of other organic materials, such as chicken manure and dolomite. The circular economy approach has been proven to reduce waste, create added value, and open up sustainable business opportunities for rice mills. Thus, this model not only provides an environmentally friendly waste management solution, but also encourages strengthening the local economy. This study recommends the integration of a composting system as part of the rice mill operations to achieve business sustainability. Data collected through interviews and observations and analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of the study concluded that the average volume of rice waste produced by the Pak Horas Rice Mill UMKM each month is 337 kg. From the feasibility experiment, in one month of 337 kg of tea waste, 60.18 kg of chicken manure and 36.09 kg of dolomite, 433.27 kg of compost fertilizer was obtained. With a composting efficiency level of 80%, 433.27 kg x 80% / 100 = 346.61 kg or 347 kg of compost fertilizer. From the following experiment in a month can produce 17 sacks of compost fertilizer with a weight of 20 kg / sack. The production cost per unit of Rp 400,810/17 Sacks is Rp 23,500 and wants to get a profit of 65%, then the selling price per sack or unit is Rp 39,000. |
