| Abstract: | Persediaan bahan baku merupakan salah satu komponen penting yang mendukung kelancaran proses produksi dalam suatu perusahaan manufaktur. Ketidakseimbangan dalam pengelolaan persediaan dapat menimbulkan berbagai risiko. Kekurangan bahan baku dapat menyebabkan terhambatnya proses produksi yang berdampak pada keterlambatan pemenuhan pesanan konsumen. Di sisi lain, kelebihan persediaan juga tidak diinginkan karena dapat meningkatkan biaya penyimpanan, risiko kerusakan, serta pemborosan sumber daya. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sistem pengendalian persediaan yang mampu menjaga ketersediaan bahan baku dalam jumlah yang optimal dengan biaya yang efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sistem pengendalian persediaan bahan baku biji kopi di PT Wahana Graha Makmur dengan menerapkan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), serta dilengkapi dengan perhitungan Safety Stock dan Reorder Point (ROP). Metode ini digunakan untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan yang paling ekonomis dan waktu pemesanan ulang yang tepat, guna menghindari kekurangan maupun kelebihan stok. Sebelum penerapan metode EOQ, dilakukan analisis terhadap karakteristik permintaan bahan baku dan waktu tunggu (lead time), yang menunjukkan fluktuasi akibat faktor musiman, cuaca, dan distribusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi di lapangan, serta data sekunder berupa dokumen historis seperti catatan permintaan bulanan, waktu pengadaan, dan biaya persediaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengendalian persediaan yang diterapkan perusahaan selama ini belum efisien. Dengan penerapan metode EOQ, perusahaan dapat mengurangi frekuensi pemesanan, menekan total biaya persediaan tahunan, serta meningkatkan efisiensi stok. Penerapan metode EOQ yang dikombinasikan dengan perhitungan Safety Stock dan ROP terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan sistem pengendalian persediaan yang lebih tepat, terukur, dan ekonomis. Raw material inventory is a critical component that supports the smooth operation of production processes in manufacturing companies. Imbalances in inventory management can lead to various risks. A shortage of raw materials may disrupt production activities and cause delays in fulfilling customer orders. On the other hand, excess inventory can result in higher storage costs, increased risk of material damage, and inefficient resource allocation. Therefore, an effective inventory control system is essential to maintain the availability of raw materials in optimal quantities while minimizing costs. This study aims to analyze the raw material inventory control system for coffee beans at PT Wahana Graha Makmur by applying the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, supplemented by calculations of Safety Stock and Reorder Point (ROP). The EOQ method is used to determine the most economical order quantity and the appropriate reorder timing to prevent both shortages and overstocking. Before implementing the EOQ method, an analysis was conducted on the characteristics of raw material demand and lead time, which were found to be fluctuating due to seasonal factors, weather conditions, and distribution disruptions. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach, with primary data obtained through interviews and direct observation, and secondary data derived from historical documents such as monthly demand records, lead time data, and inventory cost reports. The results indicate that the company’s current inventory control system is not yet efficient. By applying the EOQ method, the company can reduce order frequency, lower total annual inventory costs, and optimize stock levels. The integration of the EOQ method with Safety Stock and ROP calculations has proven to be effective in establishing a more accurate, measurable, and cost-efficient inventory control system for raw materials. |
