| Abstract: | Skripsi ini membahas penerapan metode 5S untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas di Bengkel Purba Jaya, sebuah bengkel perbaikan kendaraan roda dua yang menghadapi masalah ketidakteraturan tata letak, kebersihan, dan kurangnya SOP. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan audit 15 indikator 5S. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebelum penerapan 5S, kondisi bengkel tidak efisien dengan skor ketercapaian hanya 6,6%, ditandai oleh penumpukan alat, area kerja kotor, dan budaya kerja yang kurang disiplin. Setelah penyusunan dan penerapan SOP berbasis 5S selama empat minggu, tingkat ketercapaian meningkat drastis menjadi 100%. Perubahan signifikan terjadi pada keteraturan penyimpanan alat, kebersihan area kerja, standarisasi prosedur, dan pembiasaan disiplin kerja. Penerapan metode 5S terbukti efektif menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang rapi, bersih, terstandar, dan mendukung produktivitas karyawan, sekaligus meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan terhadap layanan bengkel. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the 5S method (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) in improving operational efficiency and productivity at Bengkel Purba Jaya. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach using observations, interviews, documentation, and checklist audits on 15 indicators of the 5S method. The results show that before implementing 5S, the achievement level was only 6.6%, indicating a disorganized workplace, poor cleanliness, and the absence of standardized operating procedures. After developing and applying 5S-based SOPs for four weeks, the achievement level significantly increased to 100% across all indicators. This improvement had a positive impact on workspace organization, time efficiency, employee discipline, and service quality. The findings confirm that the 5S method is highly effective in enhancing productivity, establishing standardized procedures, and fostering a more organized and disciplined work culture at Bengkel Purba Jaya. |
