The development of Rantau Prapat as the administrative center for Labuhanbatu and surrounding areas has led to the need for integrated public services. The Public Service Mall (MPP) offers a solution by centralizing various governmental and private services in one location. This study aims to design an MPP building that adopts energy-efficient building principles to support energy savings and environmental sustainability. The design approach applies passive and active strategies, such as natural lighting, cross ventilation, insulative materials, HVAC systems, and solar panels. The chosen site is located in the city center of Rantau Prapat, selected for its accessibility and development potential. The research methods include literature review, field observation, and precedent study. The resulting design emphasizes thermal comfort, operational efficiency, and the integration of green building technologies. |
