| Abstract: | Persimpangan adalah area atau titik di mana dua atau lebih jalan berpotongan, termasuk jalan dan fasilitas tepi jalan untuk pergerakan pejalan kaki di area tersebut. Fungsi operasional utama persimpangan adalah untuk menyediakan transfer atau perubahan arah perjalanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Persimpangan Medan Aksara, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis panjang antrian dan rata-rata total waktu keterlambatan yang dialami oleh kendaraan yang melewati persimpangan Aksara Medan. Hasil studi, yang dilakukan selama seminggu dan mengambil tiga jalur tersibuk, yaitu Senin, Rabu, dan Sabtu, 8, 10, dan 13 Juli 2024, menunjukkan bahwa volume lalu lintas puncak pada Senin, 8 Juli 2024, pukul 08.00 - 09.00 (WIB), adalah yang tertinggi. Kapasitas jalan di persimpangan bersinyal Aksara Medan, berdasarkan perhitungan yang ditinjau dari PKil 2014, adalah 2.054 unit per jam untuk Jalan Prof. H. M. Yamin dan 911 unit per jam untuk Aksara. 1884 detik per jam untuk Jl. Letda Sujono dan 416 detik per jam untuk Jl. William Iskandar. An intersection is an area or point where two or more roads intersect, including road and roadside facilities for the movement of pedestrians in that area. The primary operational function of an intersection is to provide a transfer or change in the direction of travel. This research was conducted at the Medan Aksara Intersection, Medan City, North Sumatra. This study aims to analyze the queue length and average total delay time experienced by vehicles passing through the Aksara Medan intersection. The results of the study, conducted over a week and taking the three busiest lines, namely Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, July 8, 10, and 13, 2024, show that the peak traffic volume on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM (WIB), was the highest. The road capacity at the Aksara Medan signalized intersection, based on calculations reviewed from the 2014 PKil, is 2,054 units per hour for Jalan Prof. H. M. Yamin and 911 units per hour for Aksara. 1884 seconds per hour for Jl. Letda Sujono and 416 seconds per hour for Jl. William Iskandar. |
