dc.description.abstractBaterai timbal-asam, umum pada kendaraan, membutuhkan perawatan yang baik untuk mencegah penurunan kinerja akibat sulfatasi, yaitu penumpukan kristal timbal sulfat yang mengurangi kapasitas baterai. Pulse repair battery charger dikembangkan sebagai solusi dengan mengirimkan pulsa listrik pada frekuensi tertentu untuk memecah kristal timbal sulfat, mengembalikan kapasitas, serta memperpanjang umur pakai baterai. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas pulse repair battery charger pada baterai 12 volt, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kapasitas dan performa dibanding metode pengisian tradisional. Penelitian ini mencakup eksperimen langsung dengan pengukuran daya menggunakan alat ukur terkalibrasi untuk memastikan keakuratan hasil. Pengujian dilakukan dengan pengisian baterai dan evaluasi performa menggunakan beban lampu, yang memungkinkan pengamatan arus dan tegangan dalam penggunaan nyata.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dari tegangan awal 10,7V/0Ah menjadi 13,5V/3,6Ah setelah pengisian selama 60 menit. Keberhasilan ini diindikasikan oleh nyala lampu yang sebelumnya tidak menyala, menunjukkan pemulihan kinerja baterai. Rekomendasi mencakup pemantauan kondisi baterai secara berkala dan uji coba tambahan dengan variasi kondisi untuk memperoleh data yang lebih lengkap, sehingga dapat memperkuat pemahaman manfaat dan keterbatasan pulse repair dalam perawatan baterai 12 volt. Lead-acid batteries, commonly used in vehicles, require proper maintenance to prevent performance degradation due to sulfation, which is the accumulation of lead sulfate crystals that reduces battery capacity. The pulse repair battery charger was developed as a solution by delivering electric pulses at specific frequencies to break down lead sulfate crystals, restoring capacity and extending battery life. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the pulse repair battery charger on a 12-volt battery, particularly in enhancing capacity and performance compared to traditional charging methods. This research includes direct experimentation with calibrated measurement tools to ensure accurate results. Testing involves battery charging and performance evaluation using a lamp load, allowing observation of current and voltage in real use. The results indicate a significant improvement, with an increase in voltage from an initial 10.7V/0Ah to 13.5V/3.6Ah after 60 minutes of charging. Success is indicated by the lamp lighting up, which was previously off, showing battery performance recovery. Recommendations include periodic monitoring of battery conditions and additional trials with varying conditions to gather more comprehensive data, thereby strengthening the understanding of the benefits and limitations of pulse repair technology in 12-volt battery maintenance.en_US
