Air quality plays a crucial role in human health and the environment, yet conventional monitoring systems are often costly and not real-time. This study aimed to design and develop a prototype of an IoT-based air quality monitoring system using Raspberry Pi. The system integrates the ZH03B sensor to detect particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10) and the DHT22 sensor to measure temperature and humidity. Sensor data are processed by ESP8266 and transmitted to the Raspberry Pi server, then visualized on the Home Assistant platform in real-time. Testing was carried out in both indoor and outdoor environments, showing deviations of less than 10% compared to standard air monitoring applications. The system also successfully provided automatic notifications when pollutant levels exceeded the threshold. In conclusion, the proposed system offers an affordable and efficient solution for real-time air quality monitoring and can increase public awareness of environmental conditions.
