dc.description.abstractPompa sentrifugal banyak digunakan di industri seperti pengolahan air, minyak dan gas, irigasi pertanian, sistem pendingin dan lainnya. Pompa digunakan untuk memindahkan fluida dengan viskositas tertentu secara efisien dengan meningkatkan volume dan tekanan. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh variasi bukaan katup pada konfigurasi pompa seri dan paralel secara simultan menggunakan metode eksperimen laboratorium dengan dua pengulangan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konfigurasi pompa paralel umumnya lebih efisien dibanding seri, terutama pada bukaan katup 75%, 50% dan 25%. Efisiensi maksimum dicapai pada bukaan katup 100% dengan nilai sekitar 33,5% untuk konfigurasi seri. Pengaturan bukaan katup dan pemilihan konfigurasi pompa sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan efisiensi sistem perpipaan bertekanan. Disarankan bagi industri kecil menggunakan konfigurasi pompa paralel dengan pengoperasian bukaan katup optimal sekitar 75% untuk efisiensi energi dan penghematan biaya. Pengembangan sistem kontrol otomatis bukaan katup juga dianjurkan untuk memaksimalkan efisiensi, memperpanjang umur peralatan, dan mengoptimalkan distribusi fluida. Centrifugal pumps are widely used in industries such as water treatment, oil and gas, agricultural irrigation, cooling systems, and others. The pump is used to efficiently move fluids with specific viscosity levels by increasing flow rate and pressure. This study analyzes the effect of valve opening variations on series and parallel pump configurations simultaneously using a laboratory experiment method with two repetitions. The results show that parallel pump configurations are generally more efficient than series, especially at valve openings of 75%, 50% and 25%. The maximum efficiency is achieved at 100% valve opening with a value of around 33,5% on series configurations. Valve opening settings and pump configuration selection are very important to improve the performance and efficiency of pressure piping systems. It is recommended for small industries to use parallel pump configurations with optimal valve opening operations of around 75% for energy efficiency and cost savings. The development of an automatic valve opening control system is also recommended to maximize efficiency, extend equipment life, and optimize fluid distribution.en_US
