dc.description.abstractUsaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di sektor pangan, khususnya industri tempe, memiliki peran penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan protein nabati masyarakat. UMKM Tempe Uwais mengalami peningkatan permintaan pasar yang signifikan, namun kapasitas produksi yang terbatas, lokasi usaha yang masih menyatu dengan tempat tinggal, serta kondisi infrastruktur dan akses jalan yang kurang memadai menjadi kendala dalam pengembangan usaha. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya perencanaan perluasan lokasi produksi yang strategis dan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan lokasi produksi terbaik bagi UMKM Tempe Uwais dengan menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Factor Rating. Metode AHP digunakan untuk menentukan bobot kepentingan setiap kriteria melalui perbandingan berpasangan, sedangkan metode Factor Rating digunakan untuk menilai dan membandingkan alternatif lokasi berdasarkan bobot kriteria tersebut. Kriteria yang digunakan meliputi kedekatan dengan pasar, akses bahan baku, infrastruktur dan fasilitas transportasi, faktor lingkungan dan sosial, serta biaya tanah dan konstruksi. Alternatif lokasi yang dianalisis adalah Suka Ramai, Tembung, dan Sei Kambing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi Suka Ramai memperoleh nilai tertinggi sebesar 7,464, diikuti oleh Tembung sebesar 7,137 dan Sei Kambing sebesar 6,305. Dengan demikian, lokasi Suka Ramai dinilai sebagai alternatif paling optimal untuk perluasan produksi karena memiliki akses bahan baku yang baik, infrastruktur memadai, serta kedekatan dengan pasar utama. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi UMKM dalam pengambilan keputusan lokasi produksi yang efisien dan berkelanjutan. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector, particularly the tempe industry, play an important role in fulfilling community needs for affordable plant-based protein. UMKM Tempe Uwais has experienced a significant increase in market demand; however, limited production capacity, a production site integrated with a residential area, and inadequate infrastructure and road acces have become major constraints to business development. These conditions highlight the need for strategic and optimal planning in selecting a new production location. This study aims to determine the most suitable production location for UMKM Tempe Uwais using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Factor Rating methods. The AHP method is applied to determine the relative importance weights of each criterion through pairwise comparisons, while the Factor Rating method is used to evaluate and compare alternative locations based on the weighted criteria. The criteria considered include proximity to the market, access to raw materials, infrastructure and transportation facilities, environmental and social factors, as well as land and construction costs. The alternative locations analyzed in this study are Suka Ramai, Tembung, and Sei Kambing. The results show that Suka Ramai obtained the highest total score of 7.464, followed by Tembung with 7.137 and Sei Kambing with 6.305. Therefore, Suka Ramai is identified as the most optimal location for production expansion due to its good access to raw materials, adequate infrastructure, and proximity to the main market. This study is expected to serve as a reference for MSMEs in making efficient and sustainable production location decisions.en_US
