This study aims to evaluate ergonomic risks among Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) sorting operators at PKS PT. Cinta Raja and to redesign the tojok tool to improve working posture and reduce ergonomic risk levels. The FFB sorting process is carried out manually using a conventional tojok tool, which requires operators to work in bent and repetitive postures, thereby potentially causing high physical workload.Work posture evaluation was conducted using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method. The initial assessment results showed that the REBA score before redesign was 11, which falls into the very high-risk category and requires immediate corrective action. This condition is caused by tool design that does not match workers’ body dimensions and by non-ergonomic load distribution. In addition, workers’ body complaints were mapped across 27 body areas as a basis for consideration in the tool redesign process.Based on the evaluation results, the tojok tool was redesigned by considering operators’ anthropometric data, including adjusting the tool length to 120 cm, improving the ergonomic shape of the handle, and providing more proportional load distribution. After the implementation of the redesigned tool, a re-evaluation of work posture was conducted using the REBA method. The results showed that the REBA score decreased to 3, which is classified as a low-risk category. These results indicate that the ergonomic redesign of the tojok tool is effective in improving work posture and reducing ergonomic risk among FFB sorting operators.
