| Abstract: | Dalam persaingan industri manufaktur yang semakin ketat, kualitas produk menjadi faktor kunci untuk mempertahankan daya saing perusahaan. CV. Kotama sebagai produsen sepatu lokal menghadapi permasalahan tingginya tingkat pengembalian produk, yang disebabkan oleh bagian sol sepatu yang sering mengalami kerusakan akibat proses produksi yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kekuatan rekat sol sepatu serta menentukan kombinasi kondisi proses yang menghasilkan kualitas terbaik. Metode yang digunakan adalah Design of Experiment (DoE) dengan desain faktorial 2³, yang melibatkan tiga faktor utama yaitu jumlah lem (50 ml dan 100 ml), tekanan perekat (0,5 bar dan 1 bar), serta suhu pengeringan (60°C dan 80°C). Data hasil uji tarik (tensile strength) diuji menggunakan Analisis of Variance (ANOVA), main effects plot dan interaction plot untuk mengetahui pengaruh masing-masing faktor utama dan interaksinya terhadap kualitas sambungan sol sepatu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lem, tekanan perekat, dan suhu pengeringan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kekuatan rekat sol sepatu (F > 5.75). Faktor lem memberikan pengaruh paling dominan, diikuti oleh suhu pengeringan dan tekanan perekat. Kombinasi parameter terbaik diperoleh pada lem 100 ml, tekanan perekat 1 bar, dan suhu pengeringan 80°C, yang menghasilkan kekuatan tarik tertinggi sebesar 194,5 N/cm2. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Design of Experiment (DoE) efektif untuk merekayasa dan mengendalikan kualitas produk secara sistematis. Dengan menerapkan kombinasi proses optimal tersebut, CV. Kotama dapat menurunkan tingkat pengembalian produk, meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, serta memperkuat daya saing di pasar industri alas kaki. In the increasingly competitive manufacturing industry, product quality has become a key factor in maintaining a company’s competitiveness. CV. Kotama, as a local shoe manufacturer, faces the issue of a high product return rate caused by frequent damage to the shoe sole, which results from suboptimal production processes. This study aims to identify the factors that significantly influence the adhesive strength of shoe soles and to determine the combination of process conditions that yields the best quality. The method used is the Design of Experiment (DoE) with a 2³ factorial design, involving three main factors: the amount of adhesive (50 ml and 100 ml), bonding pressure (0.5 bar and 1 bar), and drying temperature (60°C and 80°C). The tensile strength test results were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), main effects plot, and interaction plot to identify the influence of each main factor and their interactions on the quality of the shoe sole bonding. The results show that adhesive amount, bonding pressure, and drying temperature significantly affect the adhesive strength of the shoe sole (F > 5.75). The adhesive amount provides the most dominant effect, followed by drying temperature and bonding pressure. The optimal combination of parameters is obtained with 100 ml of adhesive, 1 bar bonding pressure, and a drying temperature of 80°C, producing the highest tensile strength of 194.5 N/cm². The implications of this study indicate that the application of the Design of Experiment (DoE) method is effective for systematically engineering and controlling product quality. By implementing this optimal process combination, CV. Kotama can reduce product return rates, improve production efficiency, and strengthen competitiveness in the footwear industry market. |
