| Abstract: | UMKM opak menghasilkan limbah cair dengan kandungan bahan organik tinggi yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan apabila dibuang tanpa pengolahan. Micro, small, and medium enterprises produce liquid waste with high organic content that has the potential to pollute the environment if disposed of without treatment. This study aims to analyze the quality of water treated by a solar-powered liquid waste treatment device and to determine the effect of variations in the number of filters and water flow velocity on the reduction of pollutant parameters. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach. The treatment consisted of four variations, the use of three filters with a water flow rate of 32 L/hour, three filters with a water flow rate of 48 L/hour, two filters with a water flow rate of 40 L/hour, and two filters with a water flow rate of 56 L/hour. The parameters analyzed included pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). The results showed that the treatment with 3 filters with medium flow produced the best water quality with a pH value of 6.17, BOD of 221 mg/L, and COD of 590 mg/L. The other treatments produced pH values ranging from 4.49 to 4.69, BOD of 1,204 to 1,961 mg/L, and COD that was still high. Although the pH in the best treatment met the quality standards, all BOD and COD values were still above environmental standards. Thus, solar-powered wastewater treatment devices can improve wastewater quality, but do not yet fully meet quality standards for BOD and COD parameters |
