Analisis Persediaan Alat Kesehatan Dengan Perbandingan Metode EOQ Dan POQ Pada PT. Rimatandu Motaro Pratama

Abstract

Persediaan alat kesehatan merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung kelancaran operasional perusahaan distributor alat medis. PT. Rimatandu Motaro Pratama menghadapi permasalahan dalam pengendalian persediaan Ballon Dilatation Catheter (Ballon Jantung) akibat ketidakseimbangan antara jumlah pemesanan, permintaan, serta biaya penyimpanan dan pemesanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persediaan alat kesehatan tersebut menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Periodic Order Quantity (POQ), serta membandingkan efektivitas kedua metode dalam meminimalkan total biaya persediaan. Data yang digunakan meliputi pemesanan, permintaan, biaya pemesanan, dan biaya penyimpanan selama tahun 2024. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa metode EOQ menghasilkan jumlah pemesanan optimal sebesar 169 unit dengan frekuensi pemesanan 6 kali per tahun, safety stock 15 unit, Reorder Point (ROP) 35 unit, dan Total Inventory Cost (TIC) sebesar Rp 8.449.852 per tahun. Sementara itu, metode POQ menghasilkan jumlah pemesanan 85 unit dengan frekuensi pemesanan 12 kali per tahun serta TIC sebesar Rp 10.525.000 per tahun. Dibandingkan kebijakan perusahaan yang menghasilkan TIC sebesar Rp 9.640.000, metode EOQ terbukti lebih efisien dan mampu memberikan penghematan biaya sebesar Rp 1.190.148 per tahun. Dengan demikian, metode EOQ merupakan metode yang paling optimal diterapkan oleh PT. Rimatandu Motaro Pratama karena mampu menekan total biaya persediaan, menjaga ketersediaan stok, serta meningkatkan efisiensi operasional perusahaan. Inventory management of medical devices plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of medical supply distributors. PT. Rimatandu Motaro Pratama faces challenges in controlling the inventory of Balloon Dilatation Catheter (Heart Balloon) due to inconsistencies between ordering quantities, fluctuating demand, and the associated ordering and holding costs. This study aims to analyze the inventory of this medical device using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) methods and to compare the effectiveness of both methods in minimizing total inventory costs. The data used in this research include ordering quantities, demand rates, ordering costs, and holding costs for the period of 2024. The results show that the EOQ method generates an optimal order quantity of 169 units with an ordering frequency of 6 times per year, a safety stock of 15 units, a reorder point (ROP) of 35 units, and a Total Inventory Cost (TIC) of Rp 8,449,852 per year. Meanwhile, the POQ method results in an order quantity of 85 units with an ordering frequency of 12 times per year and a TIC of Rp 10.525.000 per year. Compared to the company’s current policy, which produces a TIC of Rp 9,640,000, the EOQ method proves to be more efficient, resulting in cost savings of Rp 1,190,148 per year. Thus, the EOQ method is the most optimal approach for PT. Rimatandu Motaro Pratama, as it effectively reduces total inventory costs, maintains stock availability, and enhances the overall operational efficiency of the company.
