This study aims to examine the correlation between life satisfaction and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) among social media-using teachers at SMK Telkom 1 Medan. The study sample consisted of 40 teachers selected using a total sampling technique. This research employed a quantitative approach with the Product Moment correlation analysis method. The research hypothesis states that there is a negative relationship between life satisfaction and FOMO; the higher a teacher’s life satisfaction, the lower their tendency to experience FOMO, and vice versa. The validity and reliability tests on the Life Satisfaction and FOMO scales indicated that the instruments were suitable for use. Correlation analysis yielded an rxy value of -0.373 with a significance of p = 0.018 (p < 0.05), confirming that the hypothesis is accepted. The coefficient of determination r2 = 0.139 indicates that life satisfaction contributes 13.9% to FOMO, while 86.1% is influenced by other factors. Based on the mean test, teachers’ life satisfaction was in the moderate category with an empirical value of 22.925 (approaching the high boundary), while FOMO was also in the moderate category with an empirical value of 54.400 (approaching the low boundary), suggesting that FOMO tends to be high when life satisfaction is low. These findings confirm a significant negative relationship between life satisfaction and FOMO among social media-using teachers, with important implications for teachers’ psychological well-being in the digital era.en_US
