This study aims to examine the relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media use and the tendency of gadget addiction in early adolescents at Penraujan Private Junior High School. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 72 students as a sample selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a TikTok social media intensity scale that includes aspects of attention, appreciation, duration, and frequency, as well as a gadget addiction scale that includes daily life disruption, withdrawal, tolerance, orientation to cyberspace relationships, and excessive use behavior; both instruments have met the criteria of validity and reliability. Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment correlation with the help of the JASP program. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media use and the tendency of gadget addiction (r = 0.475; p < 0.001), which means that the higher the intensity of TikTok use, the higher the tendency of gadget addiction in early adolescents. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.225) shows that the intensity of TikTok social media use contributes 22.5% to the tendency of gadget addiction.en_US
