This study aims to determine the effect of a mixture of several types of manure and planting distance on the growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata). The study used a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors, namely the type of manure mixture (e.g., cow, chicken, goat, and their combinations) and planting distance (J1=60x10. J2=60x20. J3=60x30. J4=60x60). The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, cob weight, cob length, and yield per hectare. The results showed that the type of manure mixture significantly affected vegetative growth, especially plant height and number of leaves, while planting distance had a significant effect on production components. There was an interaction between the two factors on cob weight and yield, where a certain combination of manure with a wider planting distance resulted in the highest sweet corn production. Thus, selecting the right type of manure and setting the optimal planting distance can increase the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. | en_US |
