Abstract: Overlapping method is a method that divides the number of products to be manufactured into several pieces batches so as to streamline the working time, reduce idle time and minimize the goods are in the process. Use of this overlapping method will minimize lead time so as to improve performance and efficiency utilasi production schedule. In the manufacturing process that produced the doors there are 2 types: solid and engineer types (veneer). Production training center is a company that manufactures doors, where there are four door models are taken for examination. The fourth type of door is the door 6P, 8P colonial, napoleon 5P and louvre (solid door) Overlapping method is done by looking at the work station that has the longest processing time. The number and size of the batch will be determined to obtain optimal results which provide bacth makespan on a certain amount. In this study there are two work stations that process the longest two work stations (granting glue) and six work stations (finishing). For a workstation that has the longest processing time used the method of overlapping so that the queues can be reduced and eventually used the method of overlapping so that the queues can be reduced and eventually will be able to reduce the completion time of the product. By using this method can be obtained sequence of the work product leaves the door on 6P = 466.13 minutes. Colonial 8P = 348.85 minutes, napoleon 5P = 386.24 minutes and louvre = 278.26 minutes. So that the total makespan totaling 1479.48 minutes (21:24 hours) or 3 working days with a total reduction of 205.61 minutes
