Abstract: | The pump is a fluid machinery that serves to move the fluid from the fluid incompressible / low pressure to the place / higher pressure. In principle, the pump convert mechanical energy into fluid energy. Centrifugal pump is included into the type of dynamic pressure pumps, which pump impeller type has a function to remove fluid from a low place to place a higher or lower than the pressure to higher pressure. In this analysis the pump used is a multistage centrifugal pump is the driven by electromotor as boiler feed water filler with a capacity of 25 m3/hr and head 400 m. In analyzing the performance of the pump is necessary quantities such as capacity, high pressure fluid, the nature or state of the suction and exhaust side, the power needed to turn the pumps, rotary speed and efficiency. Analysis of the results obtained and the performance comparison between the characteristic curve multistage pump which is driven by with a multistage pump which is driven by elektromotor the multistage pump is more than electromotor |
