dc.descriptionIndustri rotan merupakan salah satu industri yang menunjukkan kinerja eksport besar di Indonesia khususnya Sumatera Utara. Pengusaha rotan harus mengatur strategi pemasaran yang dianggap tepat untuk menghadapi persaingan di pasar domestic. Seperti halnya pada Koperasi Industri dan Kerajinan (Kopinkra) Rotan di kelurahan Sei Sikambing Medan harus mampu menganalisa dan mengantisipasi perubahan lingkungan, baik internal maupun eksternal sehingga dapat menentukan strategi pemasaran yang tepat demi perkembangan industri ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dan kuisioner kepada pihak internal dan eksternal industri berdasarkan fakta yang ada. Data yang diperoleh dari wawancara dan kuisioner digunakan untuk melihat variabelvariabel yang menjadi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi Industri Kerajinan Rotan Kelurahan Sei Sikambing. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisa SWOT pada Industri Kerajinan Rotan Kelurahan Sei Sikambing adalah sebaiknya industry tersebut menerapkan strategi differensiasi dan strategi pengembangan pasar guna menghadapi persainganen_US
dc.description.abstractRattan industry is one of the industries indicates the great export performance in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatera. Rattan entrepreneurs have to set out an accurate marketing strategy in facing the competition in domestic market. As in Rattan Industry and Handicraft Cooperative in Sei Sikambing Urban Village, Medan should be able to analyze and anticipate the environmental changes, both internally and externally. So that, they can decide to apply the accurate marketing strategy in the industry development. The study organizes interviews and distributes questionnaire from both internally and externally parties to collect the data. Then, the data was used to determine the variables that become Strength, Weakness, Oppurtinity, Threat faced by Rattan Industry and Handicraft Cooperative in Sei Sikambing Urban Village, Medan. Based on the SWOT analysis, the result reveals that the industry should implement the differentiation strategy and developing market strategy to deal with the competitionen_US
