Abstract: The aim of this research is to know the test of liquid organic fertilizer of papaya fruit waste in sweet corn plant (Zea mays L. Saccharata Sturt), which is conducted in Experimental Garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area, with 12 m altitude, flat topography and alluvial soil type. This study starts from April to July 2017. The design used in this research Randomized Block Design (RAK) Non Factorial with the factor of treatment of organic fertilizer liquid waste papaya fruit consists of 5 treatment levels, namely: P0 = no liquid fertilizer (fertilized with 3 gram / plant NPK fertilizer), P1 = Fertilizer liquid waste papaya fruit as much as 50 ml / liter of water (5% concentration), P2 = Pure papaya waste fertilizer as much as 100 ml / liter of water (10% concentration), P3 = 150 ml / liter water (150 ml) concentration 15%), and P4 = Papaya fruit waste fertilizer as much as 200 ml / liter of water (concentration 20%). This research was conducted with 2 repetitions. The parameters observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaf (strands), stem diameter (mm), cob length (cm) of tuna / sample weight (g) and cob weight / plot (kg). The results obtained from this research is the application of organic fertilizer liquid papaya waste significantly affect the parameters of plant height, leaf number and weight of cob / plot, but no significant effect on stem diameter, length of cob and cob weight / sample. In connection with the production obtained that the provision of liquid organic fertilizer waste papaya fruit with concentration of 150 ml / l water is the treatment with the highest production, which amounted to 4.52 kg / plot.
